The dinosaur ride is scary. So, you probably would have skipped it anyway. The other dinosaur themed stuff isn't going anywhere in the foreseeable future.
I would get park hoppers though and do part of the day there and part at MK.

Otherwise, my nephews are those ages and easily filled a day at AK last spring. Having been to a zoo or safari ride doesn't mean you don't want to see animals ever again. :) And, AK really isn't a zoo.
