I have the same problem, riggers are just about banned within the construction industry, I'm surprised they gave you the option of wellies, as we have to have a permit to wear them & that's only after a risk assessment has been done, don't ask We moved on to lace up safety boots, but "they" are also on the way out as we now have to have metatarsal protection, look at Goliath D30 boots. I'll be glad when I get out of it!! I'm off to a job in London tomorrow, 2 day induction, drug & alcohol testing, full railway spec HiViz , all on a sh1t works!!!!
