When Mark won the commission to create the two stainless steel sculptures for the Town of Cave Creek AZ, that was the beginning of a series of sculptures of the horse.  

Several styles developed to express the beauty of the horse.  The full size horses were fabricated in the 'ribbon' style with thick gauge sheet metal.  The table top size were made from chunks of thick steel that were cut with a oxyacetalene torch, then welded together, and actually carved with die grinders.
