This joint venture became a member of the Continental Teves Group in 1998, when Continental of Germany acquired the brake chassis components division of ITT and established Continental Teves. Nov. 1994 The SAIC Group and ZF jointly established ZF Shanghai Steering Co., Ltd. 1995 The SAIC Group and Valeo jointly established Shanghai SAIC Valeo Automotive Electrical Systems Co., Ltd. 1995 The SAIC Group and Metzeler jointly established Shanghai SAIC-Metzeler Sealing Systems Co., Ltd. 1997 The SAIC Group and Kolbenschmidt jointly established Kolbenschmidt Shanghai Piston Co., Ltd. July 1997 The SAIC Group and TRW jointly established Shanghai TRW Automotive Safety Systems Co., Ltd.(STASS). Aug. 1997 The SAIC Group established Shanghai Automotive Co., Ltd. as a stock corporation, its subsidiary manufacturing transmission systems. Nov. 1997 Shanghai Automotive Co., Ltd. was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Dec. 1997 Shanghai Automotive Co., Ltd. acquired China Spring Factory, which is now called China Spring Corporation Limited. 1998 Shanghai Automotive Co., Ltd. and Teksid jointly established Hua Dong Teksid Automotive Foundry Co., Ltd. 1999 Shanghai Automotive Co., Ltd. and Federal-Mogul jointly established Federal-Mogul Shanghai Bearing Co., Ltd. 2000 Shanghai Automotive Co., Ltd. and Pieburg jointly established Kolbenschmidt Pierburg Shanghai Nonferrous Components Co., Ltd. June, 2000 Shanghai Automotive Co., Ltd. and Sanden jointly established Sanden Shanghai Automotive Air-Conditioning Co., Ltd. The name of the joint venture company was changed to Shanghai Sanden Behr Automotive Air Conditioning Co., Ltd. in 2004. June. 2004 Shanghai Automotive Co., Ltd. established Shanghai Superior Die Technology Co., Ltd. to manufacture body panels. Nov. 2006 The SAIC Group transferred 11 automakers, including Shanghai VW and Shanghai GM, as well as 3 companies producing engines and electronic components to Shanghai Automotive Co., Ltd. At the same time, Shanghai Automotive transferred 15 companies to the SAIC Group. They included 10 auto parts production subsidiaries and two plants producing springs and powder metallurgical products. Sep. 2007 Shanghai Automotive Co., Ltd. Federal-Mogul jointly established Federal-Mogul Shanghai Compound Material Co., Ltd. Aug. 2008 The Group announced that it will reorganize its auto parts business to form a comprehensive auto parts company. Plans are to acquire Shanghai Ba-Shi (Group) Industrial Co., Ltd., which is listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, and transfer shares the Company has in its subsidiaries and affiliates in the auto parts sector, into Shanghai Ba-Shi. Apr. 2009 The SAIC Group acquired Shanghai Ba-Shi (Group) Industrial Co., Ltd., making it a new subsidiary. It brought the Group's 23 auto parts-related corporations under Shangahi Ba-Shi, making it a comprehensive car components supplier encompassing a wide rage of vehicle parts businesses. June. 2009 Shanghai Ba-Shi (Group) Industrial Co., Ltd., which integrates the SAIC Group's auto parts business and is listed on the stock market, adopted a new company name, HUAYU Automotive Systems Company Limited. This concluded the whole reorganization project for the Group's auto parts business. Oct. 2010 The Company established Huayu Automotive Electric Systems Co., Ltd. with Guizhou Aerospace Industry Co., Ltd. in Thailand.  Apr. 2011 SAIC Motor became the largest shareholder of the company Huayu Automotive, with Shanghai Automotive still maintaining control over Huayu.  May 2013 Shanghai Xingfu Motorcycle Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Company, and Germany-based Pierburg Pump Technology GmbH, established a 50-50 joint venture, Huayu Pierburg Pump Technology Co., Ltd. in Shanghai. The Company and the Chia Tai Group of Thailand signed an agreement to establish Huayu Chia Tai Co., Ltd. Mar. 2014 Shanghai Sekely Die Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Company, announced that it acquired 100 percent of Nanjing Automobile Tooling Co., Ltd. for CNY 251.4 million. May 2014 Yanfeng Automotive Trim Systems Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, signed a definitive agreement to form the world's largest automotive interiors joint venture with Johnson Controls Inc. Jun. 2014 Yanfeng Automotive Trim Systems (Shenyang) Co., Ltd. and Shenyang Yanfeng Johnson Controls Seating Co., Ltd. subsidiaries of the Company, began operations of their new plants in the Datong District, Shenyang. Jul. 2014 The Company announced that it reached an agreement with KSPG of Germany to acquire a 50 percent share in KS Aluminium-Technologie GmbH. Nov. 2014 Federal-Mogul Shanghai Bearing Co., Ltd. and Federal-Mogul Shanghai Compound Material Co., Ltd., which are joint ventures between Federal-Mogul and the Company, announced that they have completed their new plant at the Zhoupu Zhihui Industrial Park in Pudong, Shanghai. Jan. 2015 Dongfeng Visteon Wuhan Automotive Trim Systems Co., Ltd., a 50-50 joint venture between DETC and Yanfeng Automotive Trim Systems Co., Ltd., has established a joint-venture company with Grupo Antolin of Spain. The new company is called Dongfeng Antolin (Wuhan) Automotive Trim Co., Ltd.  Jun. 2015 The Company and Continental of Germany announced a plan to establish Huayu Continental Brake Systems Co., Ltd. in Chongqing. Dec. 2015 The Company announced that Huayu Automotive System (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., its wholly owned subsidiary, will invest CNY 170 million in Shannxi Qinghua Vehicle Safety System Co., Ltd. to acquire a 35% share in the safety system company. Dec. 2016 Huayu Shanghai invested CNY 120 million to participate in the capital increase and expansion of Hubei Hangpeng, and obtained a 30% stake in Hubei Hangpeng. May 2017 Huayu Continental Brake Systems (Chongqing) Co., Ltd., a joint venture established by Continental Automotive and the Company on an equal basis, officially began its operation. Oct. 2017

Jan. 2019 KS HUAYU AluTech, a joint venture with Rheinmetall, expanded its Neckarsulm, Germany plant to include a new aluminum structural component manufacturing facility.
