Octopus gives away 20,000 free electric blankets

Octopus Energy is relaunching its electric blankets scheme this winter, providing an additional 20,000 free blankets to its most vulnerable customers

As the UK braces for colder weather and the arrival of winter, many are concerned about how they will keep warm with soaring energy bills. However, there may be a solution in the form of energy-saving freebies, including heated throws and mattress toppers.

Ovo Energy is offering these items to households as part of a £50million support package, according to The Sun. The package, which launched at the start of October, also includes payment holidays for prepayment meters and direct financial aid.
